Catholic Charities Housing Opportunities works to ensure that low-income and other disadvantaged people within the Diocese of Youngstown region have access to long-term, affordable, safe, and adequate housing within a supportive community. Recognizing the dignity that God has bestowed on every person, and sustained by the church community, we strive to empower those we serve, to engage them in efforts to improve their quality of life, and to pursue economic justice.
Catholic Charities Housing Opportunities typically offers the following services:
Affordable Rental Housing, Caritas Communities/Eastwood Village
Community Development, Downpayment Assistance/Homeownership Programs
Housing Assistance Fund, Housing Counseling Program Administration
For assistance with the above services, please contact your local Catholic Charities Service agency to begin the qualification and registration process.
Housing Counseling: working with local agencies, CCHO provides counseling and down payment assistance to low-income and at-risk individuals and families.
