Catholic Charities - Diocese of YoungstownShelter ServicesChristina House Providing services to women and children has always been a top priority for Catholic Charities. When no domestic violence shelter was available to residents of Columbiana County, Catholic Charities Regional Agency opened Christina House. In 2009, Christina House sheltered 72 women and children. Christina House offers in house support services, anger management classes and supervises court ordered visitation. A 24-hour crisis telephone line is maintained with cooperation from many local agencies. Additionally, one of the largest services provided by Christina House is community education. Last year, staff members provided information on domestic violence to more than 960 individuals from schools, organizations and other concerned groups.
