First Step for ChangeThe 2010 First Step for Change campaign is in full-stride and to date has raised more than $29,000 to provide material assistance and case management support to those pregnant women and families with young children served by Catholic Charities' First Step programs. There are still a handful of parishes conducting their local First Step for Change campaigns in the final months of the year. We are excited to see where we end up! To contribute to this important cause, click the the "How to Help" tab at the left, then click on the "make a donation" button. In the description field on the PayPal donation form, type "First Step for Change." Your contribution will then be among those received for the 2010 First Step for Change campaign. Everyone Loves "Men Who Cook"Throughout the year, each of Catholic Charities's four social service agencies host a "Men Who Cook" event. This event is based on the premise that each locations local amateur chefs cook up their favorite soup, salad, entree or dessert and serve appetizer size portions to the guests attending the event. Each chef's dish is then judged by an all female panel to determine the Judge's Choice award of the evening. Guests also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite chef/dish to with the coveted People's Choice Award. The upcoming Men Who Cooks will be held:
